I’ve added another spot for advertisements right above the “blog” section of this site. I’m hoping to see a little extra money come in to the site that I can put back into advertising. So while they can be obtrusive, I see them as a necessary evil. In addition to covering some minor advertising, they help cover my hosting expenses. So please, ignore them when they don’t interest you, click the ones that do, and always remember that this blog section still exists down here.

Two subjects of minor interest today so I’ll dive right in.

First, I finally updated the banner with a possibly more interesting image. The thing is, I can’t decide if it’s too “busy” so I’d really like input on it.

Second, I’m trying desperately to come up with an interesting new tag line for the comic strip so if anyone has ANY ideas at all please send them my way.

PS - Possible new area of interest: Along the left side of the site I’ve added a section titled “Most Talked About.” It features the comics with the most comments on them.

I would just like to take a moment to say that Braid has been one of the single most enjoyable experiences on the Xbox 360 and if you have one and do not own it, I do not wish to be friends with you any more. Seriously though, you are really missing out. For those that may not know, Braid is about a guy trying to work out his issues with past mistakes. There are no lives in this game, and there is no way to lose a level. You can manipulate time (ie: rewind) to learn from your mistakes. You also use this mechanic and a level specific mechanic to solve a variety of puzzles and piece together the backstory of Braid and it’s main character. As I said already, it’s unqiue, it’s fun, it’s compelling, and visually it looks like you’re playing a painting. The game is simply masterful. Again, I can not recommend this game to you enough. Think about it this way: I play a LOT of games, and I don’t believe I’ve EVER recommended a game on my site before…

The comic I’m working on will need a little more time for me to draw it so I am going to delay it until this weekend to have some time to work on it. Thanks.

The one posted for 8/14 is not the one I originally wrote about in the above post  but I got and indea and just decided to run with it. The one originally intended for 8/14 will probably be released on Tuesday or Thursday of next week now.]

I haven’t had a lot of time to get the There and In Between section of this website running but I will be doing so soon. I just wanted to let the TaIB faithful know, you will not be without new content soon. I’m in the process of packing and moving so I never got around to a comic for July 10th. I probably won’t be able get around to another comic until Tuesday of next week but I encourage you to check back before then because you never know when I’ll have a few moments to bust one out for you guys.

This week and next week I have a 6 comic series planned so in an attempt to just make it a two week series instead of three, I am planning on releasing three comics this weeke and next. The update days will be Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday for both weeks.

I just tried the Spore Creature Creator for the first time last night. Spore, for those who don’t know, Spore is “a multi-genre “massively single-player online game” under development by Maxis and designed by Will Wright. It allows a player to control the evolution of a species from its beginnings as a unicellular organism, through development as an intelligent and social land-walking creature, to levels of interstellar exploration as a spacefaring culture. It has drawn wide attention for its massive scope, and its use of open-ended gameplay and procedural generation.” (Description taken from Wikipedia simply because I couldn’t begin to describe what Spore is going to be).

Anyway, it was really interesting, really fun, and it convinced me to pre-order so I can hold my copy as well as get the full version of the creature creator. Below are a copy of shots of the first creature I’ve created:
